Students - stop projecting your personal problems onto your instructors. Approach your instructors with issues that he/she can help you with academically. Take your personal problems to a Counselor. Counselors are provided on every campus - take advantage of that resource.
The community college environment is more supportive than that of any university. However, you must earn your grades and academic status just as you would at any other college or university.
This semester will be a semester of change. I will separate my professional relationships from my personal relationships. If you are my student, our relationship is purely professional.
This does not mean that I am uncaring - it means that I can serve you best by being your instructor and not your personal confidant.
Earn your academic respect. College is a privilege and not a right. Treat it as such.
